Mine has been flawless. Change VST return filter, change and index plugs properly, 10 micron water separator, and xd100 oil make for a long running engine.

Be sure to follow the schedule and prop near the high end of the range so motor doesn’t overheat. I love the 3 year schedule and haven’t seen any wear on any of the parts for the service.

Barnacle bills marine store has an etec forum with very helpful mechanics.
