Location: Pewaukee | I have a 2021 Competitor 175 fsx with a 115 Yamaha SHO vmax. I’ve been very impressed with the engine so far. Seems to be fuel efficient, very quiet at idle, but sounds healthy at the top end. Seems to have power from off idle to top rpms. Starts like a car and I can’t believe how oder free it is (last motor was a 1997 Mariner 2 stroke). I’ve read a few reports that it makes more than 115 hp but who really knows???
To be perfectly honest I would have also been perfectly happy with a Mercury XPS. |
