I see my post regarding a certain engine manufacture got deleted, noted and disappointing to say the least. Its an opinion informed by working in the industry, but last thing I'd want to do is mess with your bag so I understand.

Suzuki makes an excellent platform as well, just going to run into random wear and tear issues like o rings and other rubber bits. But the block and gaskets are solid as yamaha or honda.

You know the rules here. We know the data on industry outboard warranty, and there's little difference between brands for reliability at this time. I have owned one brand mentioned here, and had a rash of issues. I sold that brand to dealers, and set up pro staff deals. I sold one to my son, too. He had several problems with it. I sold a couple to pro staffers for the boat brand I was selling at the time. They both had issues. Both got them fixed fast and right. That doesn't make the brand bad, it means they had a warranty issue. My motor was fixed a couple times and eventually ran reliably. Great motor, good service.

I have 48 years in the industry and am still working with several brands. Every day. Doesn't make it OK for me to tell anyone not to buy a well-known, reliable brand here just because I prefer another. I just advise what brand I like and why.

It SPECIFICALLY states in our permissions we have published multiple times what's allowed here and why. And it has absolutely nothing to do with you. But... you already know that.

It also states that if you go ahead and ignore the permissions we have had in place unwaveringly for 21 years, and complain about the inevitable, that will be deleted too. But, you already know that as well.
