Last year I was in the same "boat" so to speak. My 1997 Evinrude 115 decided it was time to give me problems. I looked at Yamaha, but found out I would need to wait a several months to get one, and they were several hundred dollars more than a Suzuki. I toyed with an ETEC, but was afraid of parts issues down the road. I spoke with a couple guides in the Eagle River area, and they told me that the Suzuki is a very good outboard. I stopped at Northern Edge in Land O Lakes, they were very easy and straight forward, the price was fair, and they did a very nice job rigging the new engine. With 1 year of use, I am very happy with my Suzuki, it is quiet, good on gas and trolls down nicely. Hope this helps. Good Luck
