I had a 2014 1880 Angler that I bought used, was a good all around boat. I wanted more storage, center rod locker was good for about 8' rods max; and it had a 2-stroke 150 Merc Optimax that was LOUD. So I traded up a bit in length to a boat with more storage space, and a 4-stroke motor. The one I had was rated for 175hp max and had a decent sized back deck for casting A couple of model years later Ranger changed the transom design to be rated for 200hp max, downside was it made the back deck smaller. The one I had trolled on rough water on Green Bay pretty darn well, had a walk through windshield design and that was nice in cold and rough weather.
