Location: oswego, il		What did the old impeller look like? Was it intact? I had a buddy who used to start his kicker at 3/4 throttle and pieces of his impeller ended up lodging in the block causing it to overheat. Not saying you start your motor that way but it's possible you have impeller pieces lodged in the motor. I don't however suggest getting your prostate checked at a marine dealer. They say you won't smell like marine grease for days but you will.
