I've never used Lowrance sonars, but the Helix units have a "temperature offset" if you want to go through the bother of finding an accurate thermometer, and take a reading next to the transducer.

Select "Advanced User Mode" (or Custom"), Setup>Temperature Offset, and adjust as needed.
