Location: SW Ohio		Some updates are worth the trouble but others cause more issues than they fix. Especially on Humminbirds. Seems as though the updates aren't checked for other issues they cause before they are released. There's a good website with lots of info on updates. The brands have their own forum and the update info is usually listed at the top. I always check here to see if there area any downsides before I do any update. Some updates have bricked head units that require them to be sent back to the factory. http://www.bbcboards.net/forum.php
