Location: MN		I have done it with Garmins using SD card. Very straightforward - just followed instructions and everything worked as it should. I had to do it to recognize a newer transducer. I probably wouldn't do it mid-season unless necessary just in case you have issues - seems like a good item to check off when you take the boat out in spring.
