i may have found another pedal for $150 so if it pans out i will try to cut the toe/heel part ! i will let you know what happens .

I'll definitely check back for the results. I agree that the heel/toe steering option makes the pedal annoyingly large. Give me something more the size of a powerdrive pedal!
