use both the remote and foot pedal. I do not use the heel/toe function on the pedal at all. I mainly am in continuous mode and make steering corrections with the left/right switches. Do use the remote at times to set speed, and spot lock.

exactly like you ! i would love a pedal without that part since in my case its too long and in the way , i wonder if the pedal could be modified ??? any ideas ?
