I'd look into a 9.9..that should be decent enough.

When mounting a tank, though..be sure to have it vented out the side of the boat...not too hard to do. If you went with a 2-stroke, you could put a canister fuel filter in with multiple outlets, then run a separate hose from there to the kicker...

I installed an on-board tank in an alumacraft lunker years ago. had the tank custom built, then vented it out the side and an inlet on the top... Worked pretty well and helped to balance the boat when fishing as I normally fished off the port side in the front, but with others in there, it would lean a bit. The tank helped to offset that.
