I always stored my boat outside, but too cheap to shrink wrap. I just use the custom snap on travel cover, then one of those decent generic ones from Fleet Farm, over that. Then a great big standard tarp, over that. Worked great for many years and three different boats. You do need to get out and brush off the snow, if you get more than about an inch. Two years ago, I got one of those garage in a box sheds from Menards. Costs about the same as one year of shrink wrap. I love it. Back it in there for the winter and forget about it.
