My current deep v is 23” from the gunnel to the waterline. Adding 22” (Per an article I read) would put that shaft at 45”
I had the 60” Ultrex and ended up raising it 8-9 inches up from max depth. Still anxious on what to get on a new Nitro Zv19
I realize 60” would be the safe play, but if I don’t really need it, I rather not wrestle a 6 foot (motor and head included)
behemoth. Keep in mind I don’t fish big water. Just lakes, and rivers in Kentucky.
