I had two Ulteras and one Terrova go down this year. One cost $900 to repair, but is like brand new now and will make a great back-up motor. I'll be making one Ultera out of two this winter. They get used a lot, but this was my worst year ever for trolling motor deaths. For me it's definitely worth fixing them. Throwing away perfectly good parts doesn't make sense to me...just because one or two components are broken.
