I work for the state wildlife agency in Utah and we are currently running Honda 50hp on three of our work boats. I cannot make any comparisons to other brands but they have performed flawlessly for the last 3 years - they get abused pretty bad too. Honda has been good in standing behind their product also - we sunk a boat and they replaced the motor because they couldn't get it to run again after submersion. They are a bit heavy and probably the loudest of the 4 strokes, but if they weren't so #@$% expensive, I'd probably own one by now.
