I suppose it can, but it would take a lot of blow by, a lot. Like hole in piston amounts. You talking about the tank in the boat or on the side of the motor? In the boat is what I am referring to, this uses crank case pressure to push into the motor. So it's not really going backwards just jumping to the start. If it's on the side of the motor it could be the same but I am not sure. oil tank is in the motor - oil pour is on top of motor. It’s suddenly full so - not good
