My 1775 SS Impact runs 46 mph (WOT @ 6000 rpms) with just me in it. The boat jumps up on plane and handles like its on rails. The prop does not slip in a turn nor is it necessary to trim down the motor while turning It's powered by a Mercury Pro XS 115 with a SS four bladed prop and it handles rough water well. I have a friend with a 1875 Impact powered by a Mercury 150. His top speed is in the low 50s. Imo the savings in gas and cost for the up grade to a 150 far out way the additional expense that a larger engine would yield for 5-7 mph increase in top end speed. This boat preforms GREAT with the Merc Pro. I've had a variety of boats from high performance Bass Style boats to family Run a bouts. Imo this boat just flat out ROCKS!
