Absolutely not Rangers fault at all. Seems obvious that EZ Step realized their mistake early on, that's why they changed the design.

While on the subject; I’d been noticing the winch and bow stop were kind of wobbly, same thing with my last Ranger.

So while the winch stand was apart to do the step repair I discovered the metal and washer on the winch stand was mushrooming, and that's why it wobbled. I added these 3/16” steel reinforcements inside the winch stand as I put it back together, problem solved.
