Location: 31 | These days I almost exclusively troll and sometimes I've had some shoulder and neck pain from the constant back and forth between boats electronics, and kicker motor shift control.
Even before I had the pain issues, the kicker shift control location always felt really awkward to me, especially for something that I was using all day. So last year I decided to go ahead and make the switch, and other than having different size holes, and then having to splice in a piece of fabric, it was a fairly straightforward project.
A nice plus while trolling is being able to move my seat forward to easily reach to the boats electronics, now the shift control, steering wheel, and electronics are all in a nice little easy to reach triangle... my only regret is that I didn't do it sooner.
