Sooo, are you going to install it or have it installed? One of the worst days I've had was trying to convince myself that it is perfectly OK to take a hole saw at the end of an electric drill and bore a wee-bit-larger hole in the floor of my boat so that the transducer would fit. I had to be sedated afterwards, but it worked out.
Next trick, then is to be sure you get the epoxy resin in the hole with no bobbles when you lay the transducer in. After than, covering the unit with the resin was pretty easy. Good luck, m
