Looking at a 3.5L f150 or 5.3L silverado for towing a 17' aluminum deep v.

These vehicles are so good now, you can't go wrong either way. My previous truck was a Ford, and I loved that truck. My neighbors has a 4 or 5 year old Ford that he pulls his camper (pretty big one) with, and I really like his truck and would be perfectly happy with it. He gets really good mileage with it. I went with the Silverado a year and a half ago, because one of my former wrestlers from my high school coaching days, is now the sales manager at a Chevy dealership, and he said he would take care of me, and he did. I really like this truck as well, and am very happy with it. Great mileage, particularly towing my 18 ft. aluminum boat. Don't even know it's there, and could comfortably tow much more. Go drive both, and pick the one that has the best deal or feels most comfortable to you. You'll be happy either way
