"Ecoboost" in F150's can be the 2.7 or the 3.5 liter. The 2.7 had quite a few problems at release but the 3.5 has a very good track record. The 3.5 is a very versatile motor for Ford and has been configured at many different HP outputs, up to and over 700 HP.

I have 3 (of the 3.5 liter) in the fleet and no problems with any since new.
