i was changing my cranking battery in my lund. i wasnt being very careful and somehow arced the battery against my boat. i had one terminal for my motor hooked up and was moving the battery to get it seated in the tray when i touched a terminal to the boat and i saw some sparks. Immediately removed it away from the boat. thats when I notice some smoke coming from my engine. Here's the question...... what got fried? everything works. starts, runs, tilt, trim, etc. my fear is i may have fried my alternator. I was checking YouTube and there are some videos on how to check if you have current coming back from the engine while running, but i wanted to check with the musky boys first. you guys have been great in the past. I do have a single bank charger that i use to charge the cranking battery when i am home or dont run the 50 for a while (9.9 Kicker without alternator).

Lund 1650 Explorer 2003
Johnson 2003 50 HP 4 Stroke
Interstate Cranking Battery 27

I normally would just charge the battery with the charger but i am going on a camping trip without electricity and have to make sure the alternator is working.
