On our last trip we fished a clear lake and as a result did a lot of night fishing. Once the moon went down I had a very difficult time seeing the foot pedal on the trolling motor or the direction the trolling motor was facing - any one have a setup with a very dim, hooded red LED to make it a little easier? I already have the lights on the trolling motor base covered with tape because they are BRIGHT at night and made it impossible to see much of anything else.

Also any tips for figuring out when to start your figure 8?

I also need to get a new, shorter rear (white) light to make it easier for my buddy in the back of the boat to cast.

Thanks,

Shawn
