I think that if you didn't want to go to Tuffy, or if they couldn't do it, a quick web search will find boat restoration businesses in your area.
My father took his Lakeland to a place in St. Germain many years ago. New carpeting, new decals, new deck (fixed what was going soft)...etc. Thing looked like new when he got it back. I don't think it was all that expensive, either, especially compared to the cost of a new boat.
