| I've been following the used boat market for 7 or 8 years. Yes, you can get more for your money during winter for obvious reasons: not much demand, can't test drive them. If you know what you're looking for and can find a seller that has or can get documentation of maintenance and a motor printout showing, you can get a good deal and minimize your risk. I bought my current boat in February of 2017 from a guy in Canada who needed money to pay for completion of his new house's landscaping. Took three years of watching to find one I wanted that was in my price range. I had the seller take the boat in and get a motor printout/compression check, as well as send me a video of it running at the shop. It's worked out well so far. | |
