Hiya,

More hull bottom will mean more friction, so it will definitely be slower... You are jumping 160 pounds in weight so that is quite minimal. If you have the motor mounted in it's highest position you might be close...

If the 17 cannot work, you could either take it to a prop shop where they can adjust the pitch down up to 2", or a replacement, which most likely would not be much more...
