You need to drain all the watery lube OUT and put fresh lube in until such time as you can get the seal repaired. Don't ever leave a lower unit without lube in it (moisture + air = rust). m

When you pump the fresh lube in, trim the motor straight up and down and pump it from the bottom hole up, leaving the top screw out until you see lube coming out; give it a minute for the air to work thru and pump it again, then put the upper screw on first when it is done 'burping'. m
