I've never used or seen the Sumos in action, but they look sweet. I had a similar expierience to yours and upgraded to a spring with an extra leaf when I replaced them. When I got my new boat, upgrading to newer heavier leaf springs was one of the first things I did. My friends thought I was silly, but until you've been there I guess you wouldn't understand. I haven't seen an application for boat otrailers in the Sumo style springs, but I like the sound of it!
