I also have a Alumacraft 165 Classic. Mine has a 50 tiller and I cant troll much below 2 either. Stability is good for a boat of its size and fairly dry but that can change quick of course. I make 20 mile runs on LOTW with it and yes my shoulder will get sore. If it is rough out it doesn't take too long to get a sore shoulder. I love the boat overall. It is so easy to launch and load by myself and a fishing machine but I do wish I had another bigger boat for bigger water.
