I don't believe that was the intent of NPike's message... He by law has to have PFD's on board.. He's just not going to go inflatable when there are other approved ones out there at a much lower cost, and will get the job done very very well.

I'm in that debate right now with my wife on this very issue... She say's it's a lot to spend for something we already have that works just as well..
