I need to do a few things, but probably won't start on them until late March when I'm done ice-fishing.
Here is a list of what I need to do:
4) Buff and wax/polish. I've never done this to a fiberglass boat before, so I'm going to have to learn how to do this.
Get a powered buff/waxer, makes this so easy. Apply a little buffing compound, work your way around the boat. Let it sit and should have up a bit, go back with a clean bonnet for your buff/waxer and remove the compound. Basically the same with the wax, just use less wax. A little goes a long way. Too much makes it more of a chore to remove as it clogs up your clean bonnet faster.
Get a bottle of detail spray
(bass boat saver, STP quickmist, or similar
), and use it every trip out. Dry boat with a clean microfiber towel, then spray the boat down with the detail sorsyband wipe it off. Will keep it looking good all season and you won’t have to buff/wax again until next spring.
Thanks for the tips.
), but I figured why not make it look as nice as I can.
