Hiya,

Both look like great boats, and on just a quick comparison of the two, The lund is 24.5 feet long vs 21'-8" for the Ranger. Something to consider would be garage space here as well.

They differ by only 100 pounds, but one thing I notice is if money is not as much of a decision factor is you can buy a very nice Just-encase box for the ranger that will give you a great fishing platform for the rear of the boat. The lund will give that to you as well, but the wide gunnels on the lund make the interior look (and most likely feel) smaller overall, even though you get a nice amount of storage space there. The lund most likely will sit higher in the water as well, so as BNelson stated, the Ranger most likely will not blow around as much in the wind...although at the weights both weigh, I don't know how much that lund will move either...

Things to maybe consider for your use are rod storage (which will fit those nice longer rods) storage of your gear, etc..things like that...

My suggestion: Make a list of the things you really want to have in your boat, making note of things that carry huge importance to those items you can maybe modify to work for you and your gear, mounting locations of electronics, how to mount them, how easy things are to work on (if you choose to do rigging yourself), then go climb around in both of them. Spend a bunch of time exploring....

There will be things you notice in one vs the other that may help you make your decision a touch easier.

Steve
