The Etec weighs 325 then the tiller handle was added which is at least 10 pounds. The Suzuki I believe weighs 350 so not that much heavier. I would think the propeller. Where is your RPM, if you look at the manufacturers website what rpm is Max? So for instance if you were running 5000 Rpm And Max is 6000 RPM then I would suggest going down in pitch to another prop-stainless, are you running a stainless prop? If you’re running an aluminum prop stainless should add at least 2 mph to top end. I would strongly recommend a stainless prop that get you as close to max RPM without hitting the Rev limiter. Another possibility is your motor is mounted to low. Have you checked with the motor trimmed down to see if the plate above the propeller is lined up or above the bottom of your hull use a level along the bottom of the hull and see where it hits the lower unit. Mine is mounted the second hole down on the bracket, and my anti-ventilation plate is slightly above the bottom of the hull.
