my 24 year old tub is solid as a rock ... never a worry. i would limit my brand selection on old boats and make sure you don't get one that lived it's life outside or showing signs of any transom stress or damage. old tubs in many cases are likely better than the new ones being made.

that's good to hear. What brand in that era might you avoid? Spell it backwards if necessary.
