Hiya!!

Do you own a kicker motor? If so, tighten the turning nut enough so the kicker will not turn while at idle or just above. Then let it run straight to push the boat, and use the bow mount to adjust your path. I’ve done this plenty of times and it’s a wonderful way to save battery life on those windy days...

It also gives you peace of mind if the big motor goes down. You have a way back to camp or the ramp.
