Location: The desert | I'll report back once the new unit arrives. I've been fairly satisfied with Lowrance's customer service, although there is definitely room for improvement.
Since my 8 was outside of warranty I had to pa to upgrade, they gave me a decent discount although shopping around now it wasn't the greatest deal I've ever had. At any rate I'm not really upset with that they could have done nothing. Got the new unit in and it came with absolutely nothing, again I'm relatively ok with this but I needed a mounting bracket for it. To me it would seem obvious that you'd send one with if upgrading from a smaller unit. I called in and the first guy told me to go buy one, they're $50 at cables and I already shelled out over a grand for this upgrade. Was passed on to another representative and they got one sent out. Of course, this took another handful of days. I think they could have covered overnight shipping for the lame duck 12 they sent out. A supervisor was supposed to call my, but I've not received that call yet.
Overall I've been fairly satisfied but there is definitely room for improvement. |
