Location: 31 | Lowrance customer service is outstanding… they definitely want you to be a happy customer. I sincerely hope you're hunch is right and all you have to do is plug and go with a new unit. I assume that you also plugged the 12” into the other stations power cord and had the same result… that would probably be enough for me to send the unit back as well.
More out of curiosity (and to help others troubleshoot), wondering if Lowrance sends a heavier in-line fuse wire/component now because of the 12s.
When I went from 2-10s to 2-12s I had some brownout issues with one of the units. Although I originally suspected it was a problem with unit itself, it turned out the supply line couldn't deliver the extra power required for the 12s. They're very sensitive in that regard… anyway, I went with some heavier stuff and problem solved.
