Location: The desert | Just got the replacement for my HDS 8 Gen 2 that wasn't hooking up to my nmea network. Got it all mounted and hook it up, hit the power button, nothing. Hold it in, still nothing. Notice that the keypad is lit up. Toggle my power on my auxiliary switches, notice the keypad lights shut off. Turn aux power back on, hold power on the unit, nothing. Randomly open the map chip slot and it springs to life. Works good once on. Shut the unit down and try to power back on, nothing. Again can see that the keypad is lit up but nothing loads.
It's not the screen brightness, because nothing happens when tapping power to increase brightness, and touching the screen doesn't yield any beeps.
Any ideas?
I'm beyond frustrated with Lowrance right now.
