Location: Hayward, WI		How about trying a different hz setting? I can never remember which is which but one setting would make your signal less strong.

A double reading doesn't really bother me but I don't think I constantly see it on either my bird 999 or 859. Didn't always see it on my old Lowrance 520c units either.
