i've always fished alot by myself and well i don't know your ramp situation. but i have a 50' long launch rope, one end has a snap and the other a loop. so i clip it onto the boat with the snap and put the loop end around my winch handle, then lay the coiled untangled rest of the rope laying on the bow. unclip boat from trailer including all tiedowns. then i just back up slowly until the boat just floats off. no matter how far i got to go the ramps for me have had hard bottoms. then i just pull up slowly until the winch end of the trailer is out of the water , put the truck in park, walk around grab the rope and then tie the boat to the dock. been launching my boat this way for over 50 years and always have just floated them off. no problem, no wet feet, and all of my trailers have had plain carpeted bunks. hope this might help ya out.
