You have to go to the menu option on the remote and follow the prompts. It took me 10 min to do mine and I'm no computer wizard after the GPS was changed in the motor. I got all the info from the Minnkota website. Search pairing motor with remote. I did my Ultrex last week you will go through several screens on the remote but it's not hard to do.
