Location: Twin Cities, MN | I have been running an optimax for going on year # 12 this coming season, and it has been a good engine for me. Starts each time, strong engine, and I like the growl ( some do not ) Only had one major repair, and that was due to crap /corn gas.
Yes, very good suggestion, let it warm up for a minute or two, especially when fishing in colder temps late in the year like I do. If you do not have smartcraft monitor, or merc monitor, you might want to think about it just to watch your temps. I like to get to 120 before moving out myself.
