| Try a lower pitch for sure. Lots of guys like four blade props (like the trophy) but obviously not everyone does. I agree with the advice that you can only know for sure by trying lots of props, but definitely confirm your top RPMs for the engine and get a prop that puts you at that mark with a light load in the boat (one person with little or no gear). Beyond that it's your personal preference for hole shot, mid-range economy, and top speed. I have a 681 with an Etec and Mark Croxton (google him) was awesome. Call him up, spend 5 minutes on the phone, and he'll send you what you need without messing around (expect $500 give or take for a new stainless prop). | |
