I have had a single and a dual console boat. They both have their place. For example, I had a Lund Pro-V 1775, and it was single console. It was perfect for Canada musky fishing because there was the open side of the boat for a third person to fish. I have a Skeeter for bass fishing and it is dual console. You don't really need that space as bad to bass fish as was needed to musky fish, and it is much better on passenger to be behind a console when travelling.
