Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin		The lid on that compartment is resting against a rubber gasket, which is why it pushes in a bit. It's an aluminum lid, not FRP.

Take out the carpeting on the floor, make sure the surface is cleaned up, and use the adhesive the vinyl manufacturer recommends. Floors are easy, decks not so much.
