Can't go wrong with a Tuffy! I ran a 2012 x190 for a couple years primarily on Lake St. Clair. It handled that big nasty water very well! I believe the 1890 would be a little better however due to the little deeper hull. I now run a 2100 and couldn't be happier with it. Extremely well built and you are getting a lot of boat for substantially less $$ than a comparable ranger. Plus Tuffy is a great group of people to deal with!
