Thank you both, I am glad that I have you guys! I will take your suggestions regarding the mounting of the units and ducers. The batteries are deep cell. I would like to invest in an on board charger, I have two single banks (minnkota 110d?) But with the additional battery, should I get a three bank on board charger? Also, what kind of mounting options are there for the birds? I'm assuming a surface mount for the console and some kind of mount which attaches to the floor for the bow? I may have understated the whole newbie part haha my boat is a new to me 1974 Crestliner AMF by the way. I hope I'm not asking too much. I found a couple people on this forum from my neck of the woods and with the spring looking like it's finally here to stay, I'm hoping they would be interested in teaching me the ropes. In the meantime, I would really like to get a handle on everything in this boat before purchasing a nicer vessel. I'm hoping investing in the equipment that can be switch over right now is a better investment since I'm fresh to all of this and haven't learned much yet.
