Not sure about the cost difference or features, but I switched to 2 Helix 9's last year after always having lowrance. the helix are bright, and clear. They are very user friendly. I have had no issues with the mapping features. the touch screen would be nice at times, but personally I don't think it is worth more $$. Hope things are going well with you!!
